Achieve a smooth, consistently prepared surface with the Festool STF 93x178 P240 GR/100 Granat abrasive sheets. Granat is Festool's versatile professional abrasive developed especially for demanding VOC varnishes, VOC clear coats, modern paint systems and hard substrates. Its special coating helps prevent premature clogging by fine sanding residue, allowing the abrasive grain to remain effective for longer and providing dependable performance throughout the sanding process. With its P240 grit, this version is ideal for fine sanding and surface refinement where a controlled, uniform scratch pattern is required before subsequent coating, varnishing or even finer sanding stages. Granat is also suitable for processing repair compounds, fillers, plastics, acrylic and mineral materials, making it a highly versatile abrasive for professional finishing work. Each sheet measures 93 x 178 mm and features Festool's convenient StickFix hook-and-loop attachment for quick, secure fitting to compatible sanding pads. Supplied in a substantial 100-piece pack, FES498940 is an excellent choice for painters, varnishers, drywall professionals, joiners and workshops using the Festool RS 300, RS 3 or LRS 93 sanding systems.

Granat - the universal abrasive with special advantages

Festool Granat is designed for demanding surfaces where conventional abrasives may clog prematurely. Modern varnishes, clear coats, fillers and hard base layers can generate fine sanding residue that builds up around the abrasive grains and reduces cutting efficiency. Granat's special coating helps prevent this premature loading, supporting a long useful service life and reliable sanding performance across a wide range of coating, filler and substrate applications.

P240 - fine surface refinement

P240 is a fine abrasive grade intended for advanced surface preparation and refinement. It is particularly useful after intermediate sanding stages such as P150 or P180, helping produce a finer and more uniform sanding pattern before coating, varnishing or progressing to an even finer abrasive where required.
