The Festool D125 P240 GR/100 GRANAT abrasive discs are professional 125 mm abrasives developed for fine sanding and advanced surface refinement. With a P240 grit, they are ideal for reducing the sanding pattern left by intermediate grades, refining repair compounds and fillers, processing modern paint systems and preparing VOC clear coats and hard sublayers for subsequent finishing stages. GRANAT is Festool's universal abrasive with particular advantages when sanding VOC varnishes and hard substrates. Its special coating helps prevent clogging and ensures a long service life, while the StickFix backing allows quick, secure abrasive attachment and fast disc changes. GRANAT can also be used effectively on plastics, mineral materials and acrylic. Supplied in a professional 100-piece pack, FES497173 is ideal for painters, varnishers, drywallers, joiners and workshops that regularly use fine P240 abrasives.
Fine P240 refinement for demanding finishing work
P240 is a fine abrasive grade that helps reduce the scratch pattern left by intermediate sanding stages such as P180 or P220. It creates a smoother, more uniform surface and is particularly useful when preparing coatings, fillers and hard substrates for subsequent finer sanding, recoating or polishing.

Fine sanding grade
P240 is intended for fine surface refinement rather than aggressive material removal. Where deeper scratches, heavy coating build-up or substantial filler irregularities are present, begin with a coarser abrasive and progress through suitable intermediate grit sizes before using P240.
