• Precision Construction
  A rigid, die-cast aluminum mount solidly supports the optical tube in all sky orientations. Precision 4.875" diameter worm gears in both axes provides smooth Sidereal tracking of objects in the night sky. The stable, fully adjustable steel tripod delivers all the rigidity required in sensitive field applications.

Features of this advanced model include with the heavy duty and extremely rigid LT aluminum single fork arm mount with massive 4.875" precision worm-gears. Eight (user supplied) D cell batteries will run the telescope for up to several full nights of observing, with a Meade Universal A/C power supply available optionally for seperate purchase. The included fully height adjustable tripod with tubular steel legs provides for comfortable viewing, either seated or standing, while offering great stability and vibration damping.
